Beer maker Meantime has opened a tasting room bar at its main brewery in Blackwall Lane, Greenwich.
The innovative craft brewery has invested £6.4 million in the last year and a half to create a “fully immersive and ‘modern craft beer’ experience”.
This means a 9,000 square foot space turned into The Tasting Rooms, with a 100 capacity bar and visitor centre complete with views across the working brewery.
It also includes a shop open to the public seven days a week and a walk-in cold store room.
The new venture has created another 20 jobs at the site, with more brewers, bar staff, tour guides and shop staff.
Meantime’s chief executive Nick Miller said: “The Tasting Rooms will bring our customers even closer to the brewing process, allowing them to enjoy high quality modern craft beer and food, with the added theatre of being in the heart of a working brewery.”
