The weather might not have been the best recently, but Spring is on the way and with that comes the new Spring/Summer trends.

From Prada to Giorgio Armani, Primark to George at Asda, pastels are everywhere for SS14 and far more versatile than before.

If you prefer your make up a little heavier you can still wear the lighter pastels and mix it up with the grunge trend. Think Spring-infused smoky eye and channel your inner Courtney Love.

Prime your lid and add a base of white or neutral shadow, then apply your chosen shade or shades to your lid blending outwards to create a smudgy, smoky look.

Mascara this season is grungy and heavier, so spider those lashes! For a bit of evening glam, why not add a touch of depth with some coloured eyeliner on your waterline?

Eyes are a key feature for this season, but that doesn't mean we have to forget everywhere else.

Add a light blusher to your cheeks for a healthy glow and a slick of subtle lipstick and you're all set.

If you want to add that little extra crowning glory, why not try out some hair chalk for a quick, and wash-out, splash of colour?
