Could fat-zapping laser help you lose inches this January? News Shopper finds out
SHIFTING those pesky inches round your belly and hips can be tricky, but what if technology could give you a boost?
Beauticians have raved about Laser Lipolosis, claiming it is revolutionary, non-invasive and pain-free and achieves 30 per cent better results on average than other treatments.
News Shopper’s editorial assistant Carole Hoggan is getting married this year and will do anything to make sure she can get into her dress, so we sent her along to Shobiz Hair and Beauty in Sidcup to try a course of treatment.
The 53-year-old mum said: “There was no pain whatsoever.
“There was soothing music in the background so it was all relaxing and calm.
“You don’t feel a thing. It’s just a lovely warm feeling.”
After one 45 minute treatment Carole lost between 1cm and 3cm on three areas – her waist, the area just above her belly button and her hips.
Courses can last up to 10 sessions although you have to leave three days between each to give your lymphatic system time to process and expel fatty acids that have been removed from your fat cells.
In these periods, you are advised to exercise and drink plenty of water.
Carole said: “I’m really bad at drinking enough water but because I’m getting married I was really, really focussed.
“They do half of it and you have to try to do your half too.”
The results after Carole’s second session were even more remarkable. Since the first session, the width around her hips had reduced by a tenth, 11cm.
