A BROMLEY shopping centre is helping charities this year with it’s Christmas celebrations, kicking off this weekend.

In a first for a big centre, Intu Bromley, formerly The Glades, has linked up with the Make A Wish foundation to raise money to grant wishes to children and young people with life-threatening illnesses.

Intu’s elaborate decorations are all Make a Wish themed and there will be plenty of opportunities to donate, including a wish pool by the Santa’s grotto which opens this weekend (November 9).

A family fun day will be held at the centre on November 10, including reindeer stilt walkers, elf balloon modellers, face painting and Santa’s sleigh photo booths.

On December 1, the town’s lights will be switched on, bringing plenty more fun and festivities.

Clothes Aid is working with Intu and Make a Wish to raise money. The company, to whom you donate your unwanted clothes which are sold to foreign countries to make money for UK charities, is distributing donation bags across the borough.
