Carluccio's Bluewater gives children Italian cooking lesson
LITTLE chefs were able to get a taste of Italian cooking at an interactive class at Bluewater.
Carluccio’s taught children aged six to 12 how to make gnocchi from scratch, as well as a tasty fruit and chocolate pudding.
The pasta dumplings were then cooked and served either in tomato sauce or pesto with drinks - and a slice of education about Italian culture – thrown in.
News Shopper media consultant Mary Chambers took her daughter Lara, nine, and son Lewis, 13, along.
She said: “The lady taking the class was exceptionally passionate.
“Lewis took part as well, as there was a spare place and despite being 13 he really enjoyed it too.
“They have both made it at home since so I am actually a bit fed up with Gnocchi now or ‘nookie’ as my daughter calls it.”
The class cost £15. Go to bluewater.co.uk to find out about future events at the centre.
