A FREE summer party will mark the official launch of Intu Bromley shopping centre.

Everyone is invited to join in the fun on Saturday, July 13, and Sunday, July 14, which marks the change of branding from The Glades to Intu – the same company which operates shopping centres nationwide, including Lakeside.

The festivities include music and dance, food and drink, family fun, community groups and surprises for people aged five to 95.

Bands like The Dualers and the Van Susans will perform, environmental sculptor Poppy Flint will hold workshops, and The Man in a Box will be up to amusing antics.

Marketing manager Maria Cooper said: “There have been a lot of changes happening here at intu Bromley, from the new name to new uniforms and a whole new approach to the shopper experience.

“This event will be a celebration of the changes and a preview of what’s still to come in the future – and we look forward to showing our shoppers what else we’ve got planned.”

The intu Bromley Summer Party will take place between 11am and 5pm with the Mural Artist and Environmental Sculptor also completing their works over the two days.

Entertainment will be available right across the centre and entry, as usual, is completely free.
