AN HONOR Oak gallery is closing its doors this summer after 26 years - but not before one last exhibition celebrating the local artists that have supported it.
Gallery owner John Broad, 66, who is retiring, said he had mixed feelings about closing the gallery, which had formed a "large part" of his life.
This summer's exhibition will feature a selection of paintings and etchings by artists who have been associated with the space over many years.
Mr Broad said his fondest memories were those from the opening nights of his annual exhibition.
But the upcoming one, which runs from July 2 to July 27, will be his last.
"There have been some happy times," he said.
"I am sad, but now it's time to make a break."
Mr Broad is hoping a buyer will be found to save the Honor Oak Gallery from closure.
