TOTS as young as three can get their first taste of ballet at a specially-designed show in Bromley this weekend.

My First Cinderella is a simplified and created to inspire children as young as three to take an interest in the art form.

It features talented graduates from the English National Ballet School in costumes from the full production so it looks and feels like a classical ballet.

The performance is narrated by Jane Wymark, who played Joyce Barnaby in Midsomer Murders, and the cast includes Matthew Koon, who was one of the first to play Billy Elliot in the stage show as well as a finalist on Sky’s Got to Dance.

Choreographer George Williamson, 22, said: “It is so important to inspire younger audiences and we have a specially created balletic world for them to fall in love with.

“I am also so pleased to be working with dancers from the English National Ballet School, helping them gain an understanding of what goes into being in a professional company. It’s fantastic to be a part of that development.”

My First Cinderella is at Churchill Theatre in Bromley on Saturday (April 27) at 11am, 2pm and 5pm, and Sunday (April 28) at 11am and 3pm. Tickets cost between £8 and £25. Go to ballet.org.uk or call 0844 8717620.
