Beckenham Cystic Fibrosis sufferer storms the iTunes Chart
OVER the last week, a Beckenham singer with cystic fibrosis and no record label has had a song at number two of the iTunes Vocal Chart, been recommended by Paris Hilton on Twitter and celebrated her 24th birthday.
Bianca Nicholas first released the single, Hold on to Your Dreams, in October 2011 and it reached number one in the iTunes vocal chart. She has re-released it this month with hopes of getting a record label.
Despite having cystic fibrosis since birth - a serious condition which affects all the organs particularly the lungs - Bianca initially dabbled with acting and appeared alongside Johnny Depp in film Sleepy Hollow.
At 15 she applied to the Starlight Children’s Foundation charity and was granted a wish – to be taken to a top recording studio and she got her first taste of being a professional artist.
Since appearing on Heart FM last Friday (March 1) she has amassed a host of celebrity fans such as comedian Rob Brydon as well as many members of the public.
The singer was tweeted by socialite Paris Hilton last Wednesday (March 6), the day after her 24th birthday who said:“Love the new single by cystic fibrosis sufferer @BiancaNicholas. Please help Starlightmagic make her dream come true.”
Ms Nicholas also appeared on Gaby Roslin’s BBC London Radio show on Saturday.
