BROMLEY’S most famous rockstar David Bowie comes face to face with his younger self for his latest single.

The video for The Stars (Are Out Tonight), features Norwegian model Iselin Steiro who is seen dressed as Bowie in the late Seventies as well as Hollywood star Tilda Swinton as the singer’s wife.

In the film Bowie and Swinton are seen as a comfortable, staid couple whose lives are transformed by a pair of androgynous figures, played by models Andrej Pejic and Saskia De Brauw.

It is the second single to be taken from The Next Day album, which will be released next month and will be his first album of new material for a decade.

After being born in Brixton, his family moved to Bromley at the age of six where he attended Burnt Ash Primary School, in Rangefield Road, Downham, and his recorder playing reportedly showed “above-average musical ability”.

Veteran music star Bowie performed in many of Bromley borough's nightspots in his early years but has not performed live since 2006 and has rarely been seen in public since then.
