Lewisham Poundland is providing cheap thrills with cut-price his and hers sex toys on its shelves.

The budget retailer is selling two specific items - a five-inch Vibrating Bullet, which is the exact length of the average male penis, and a Vibrating Ring.

The former was easily visible on the top shelf of the health and beauty section, whereas its male counterpart was on display at the checkout.

Shoppers in the area have been raising their concerns about the products appearing in a family store.

Jennifer Broderick, 41, of Mounthurst Road, Bromley, said: "I don't approve of them being there at all. It's a shop widely used by families and children which I think makes it inappropriate.”

News Shopper:

Devontai Nandi, 18, of Deptford High Street, said: "It might not always be completely obvious what's in there, but if a kid somehow managed to pick one up and open it then that's a different story.

"They should make sure it's always hidden".

News Shopper:

James Hennigan, 42, of Perry Vale in Sydenham, said: "It's not the right place for it, especially considering that it's a shop where there's children around. I'm a father and I definitely wouldn't want to see it if I was in there with my kids.”

News Shopper:

Maria Andrews, 63, of Davenport Road, Catford, said: "Because of my age I don't think much of it. If people like that sort of thing then it's fair enough, it's not really my cup of tea though.”

The retailer has previously come under pressure from shoppers after a Dartford branch was found to be stocking the products in its confectionery aisle.

A Poundland spokeswoman said: "We can confirm that Poundland currently stocks The Bullet.

"It is sold on the top shelf, out of the reach of children, within the health and beauty section and is not sold to anyone under the age of 18."
