The first iPhone and iPod Touch game based on kids' movie franchise Ice Age is about to be released.
Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs is said to be packed with chills and thrills, featuring acorn-obsessed quirrel Scrat.
The adventure is set across four perilous and puzzle-filled zones including ice caves, snow, mist-filled caves, and jungle.
The game has been designed to closely mirror the characters and environments from the third Ice Age movie released earlier this year. Manny, Ellie, Diego, Sid and Scratte provide the supporting cast.
Using a "unique touch-and-go iPhone control system" players will be able to help Scrat climb, hang from the ceiling, shove blocks, break ice, float around, solve puzzles and much more on the way to reaching his acorny goals.
Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs has been created by award-winning developers Two Tribes, whose previous iPhone games include quality platformer Toki Tori.
It is being published by Chillingo.
The game has been submitted to Apple for approval so should be causing a big meltdwon in the App Store any time now.
