A crew of master 'criminals' have escaped with £10,000 of swag after taking part in the Battlefield Hardline Live event in London.

The “high adrenaline, high stakes” experience took place around the launch of the game last month.

In a controlled but immersive theatrical setting, teams from around the country were tasked with getting into a secure complex, rescuing a VIP, breaking into a vault protected by multiple codes and getting as much loot as they could in the allocated time while avoiding patrolling guards and CCTV cameras.

Scores were calculated by dividing time taken to the complete the job by the total amount of loot extracted, resulting in a final loot-per-minute score.

The prize of £10,000 on offer was won by the crew led by Matt Kerr from Preston in Lancashire.

The five-strong group, The Usual Suspects, scored £542,750 per minute, more than £50,000 per minute higher than any other crew.

Matt said, ‘We’re all massive Battlefield fans so this was right up our street. We planned as much as we could and all had set roles for the mission.”

It sounds like they were better organised than our reporter Rebecca ‘Princess’ Flood whose team fared less well.
