Portable speakers seem to be ten a penny these days. Since tech companies discovered how to make speakers wireless and small, it seems there's no limit on how many of the things are out there.

Many of them are much of a muchness but one which has impressed me is the STK Bluetooth Mini Stereo Speaker.

This is a little gadget which produces a big sound. Connect this speaker to any Bluetooth-enabled device (set-up is incredibly easy) and you don’t have to turn the volume up very high to get a booming sound out of it.

The sound it gives out is strong and clear, much better than something measuring just a few centimetres up and around would be expected to produce.

Audio quality from the speaker is much higher quality than what you get from your phone or tablet.

Bass perhaps isn’t quite as heavy as some might like but it’s still pretty good, especially when the speaker is on a hard surface, and vocals are very audible.

Speaking of vocals, you can also take calls through the speaker using its mic.

One complaint about the speaker is its range isn’t great. Move your device more than about five feet away from it and the speaker will start beeping.

News Shopper: STK Bluetooth Mini Stereo Speaker

The design of this STK speaker is definitely one of its standout points. This small pod (available in black or white) has a rounded triangular shape and looks a little odd but is also very stylish and cool, in my opinion at least.

At the same time it’s also quite inconspicuous. It hardly takes up any space and has kind of faded into the background in my kitchen.

There is a good few hours of use per charge from the speaker and it’s very easy to charge up by plugging it into a laptop or PC.

At £29.95, the sleek STK speaker comes at a decent price and is a very good little gadget for using in the home, office and outside on occasions such as picnics (when it’s not raining or snowing, obviously).

Good quality music playback without the fuss of wires is what this handy speaker offers.
