EAGLES fans proved they also adore ales when they drank the bar dry at the first Crystal Palace Beer Festival.
One of the first to go was the club’s own Palace Ale which was developed by Men Behaving Badly star and Crystal Palace fan Neil Morrissey.
And all 72 real ales, 10 ciders and one organic ales sold out within eight hours after the festival was opened by food and wine critic Oz Clarke.
Crystal Palace Football Club chief executive Phil Alexander said: "The whole day went brilliantly.
”I'd like to thank Oz and Neil for their participation and support, Palace co-owner Stephen Browett for his inspiration and all the Palace fans who made it such a special occasion.
“This year's success means we have already started preparing for next year's beer festival that will be back bigger and better."
Supporters can now look forward to Palace Ale being a permanent fixture at home games at Sehurst Park stadium next season.
