A MICHELIN star restaurant in Locksbottom has been named as one of the best 80 restaurants in the UK by a leading reservation service.
Chapter One was named as the fifth most popular restaurant in which to have a party in Top Table’s 2010 Top Restaurant Awards.
The awards were decided based on the ratings provided by the website’s three million diners, who booked and visited 5,000 restaurants in 2009.
The leading 90 restaurants were listed in nine different categories including Hidden Gems, International Venue and Celebrity Chef Restaurant.
Top of the 'Best for Parties' category - in which Chapter One featured - was Mulberry Restaurant at the Langshott Manor Hotel in Surrey.
The winner of the coveted 'Top Diner Rated' category was Gidleigh Park Restaurant in Chagford, Devon.
Chapter One in Farnborough Common serves modern European cuisine, sourcing local ingredients.
The Top Table awards also revealed the most searched for cuisine was Italian, followed by Indian and French.
English cuisine finished up in tenth place.
