Winner of retail scheme Marie- Noëlle Uriel is selling Mama-Marie's Chilli Sauce till July 19
THERE are just two weeks left to sample the sizzling winning product of Lewisham Shopping Centre’s Retail Entrepreneur Scheme.
Mama-Marie’s Chilli Sauce is the spicy creation of 47-year-old Marie-Noëlle Uriel from Catford and can be found at a stall in the East Mall outside the Orange shop – but only until July 19.
The traditional African recipe of hot chilli sauce with fresh peppers and blended spices wowed the panel of judges which included Lewisham’s centre manager Paul Redden.
Paul Redden says Ms Uriel’s entry was very strong with a detailed business plan and a product they felt would appeal to Lewisham’s shoppers.
Marie-Noëlle Uriel has a background in retail and a BA Hons degree in retail management.
People can pick up a 227g bottle of her fiery sauce for £3.00.
Marie-Noëlle Uriel said: “Words cannot describe the joy and excitement that I’m feeling. I am extremely grateful to Lewisham Shopping Centre, the Mayor of Lewisham and everyone who has supported me thus far on this journey to realising my goals and dreams.”
