Locksbottom’s award-winning restaurant Chapter One is giving foodies the chance to learn to cook the perfect Christmas dinner fine dining-style or buy a bit of luxury this December.

Chef patron Andy McLeish will welcome guests to two Appledore Turkey preparation classes on December 22, where they will learn how to truss and prepare a 6 to 7kg turkey for the oven (and take it home) and prepare a chestnut and bacon stuffing to take home, and how to carve the perfect turkey.

As well as the turkey and stuffing to take home, the £130 course includes a three course meal.

If cooking for yourself sounds like too much, the restaurant is also selling limited edition gourmet Christmas hampers for £110, with contents including sparkling wine, smoke salmon, charcuterie, piccalilli, duck fat, black fig jam, mince pies, Christmas pudding, nuts and salted caramel chocolate truffles.
