A High Street pub will close for nearly two weeks in order to undergo a £180,000 transformation.

The investment in the Swan and Mitre in Bromley means it will shut its doors on Monday (June 8) until Friday, June 19.

A complete makeover will see a lighter colour scheme and more contemporary look as well as an extended selection of local beers and craft ales and an updated menu.

Several jobs will also be created in the bar and kitchen. Anyone interested should send their CV to swan.and.mitre.2615@spiritpubcompany.com.

The pub’s general manager Fernando Mejia-Dolores said: “We’re incredibly excited to be undergoing such a huge transformation. The Swan and Mitre is a lynchpin of the Bromley community, so I am pleased to be able to offer even better surroundings and a great new menu to both our loyal and new guests alike.”
