The South East London branch of the Campaign for Real Ale (SELCAMRA) is holding the first Dulwich Hamlet Beer Festival at the football club in Edgar Kail Way from noon to 10.30pm from Thursday (May 2) to Saturday (May 4).

SELCAMRA cider expert Ian White said: “We have a range of ciders and perrys from across the width of England and Wales, including a traditionally straw pressed cider from Ventons in Devon.

“We also have a number from collectives, including one from Leominster Marchers and London Glider made in north east London using apples from back gardens, a cider made locally in Honor Oak Park SE23, by volunteers on an apple pressing day on local One Tree Hill allotments”

Dulwich comic Stephen Frost, who ironically was once the face of Carling Black Label lager, will entertain at 7pm on Thursday.

Entry costs £2.50 for CAMRA members and £3.50 for non-members. Hot and cold food will be available. Go to selcamra.org.uk for information.
