Deadpan comic Jack Dee, from Petts Wood, is regarded as one of Britain's top stand-up comedians.
The former Celebrity Big Brother winner could have gone down a very different route had he stayed in his chosen career of catering after he left school in Winchester.
Realising his dour persona got more laughs than respect in the restaurant business, Dee was encouraged to take up comedy, which he has done with tremendous success.
Dee's dry humour has made millions of people laugh on sell-out tours in the UK and abroad, and he has hosted and appeared on numerous shows on television.
