Steve Backley - Sidcup

Sidcup-born javelin thrower Steve Backley will be going for gold again at this year's Olympics.

Backley, now 35, will be hoping to go one better than on two previous occasions when he has won Olympic silver.

He has also won two World Championship silver medals, four European golds and three Commonwealth Games titles.
