Queen Elizabeth I - the Virgin Queen - was born at Greenwich Palace on September 7, 1533 to King Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn.
She reigned from 1558-1603 and signed the death warrant of Mary, Queen of Scots at Greenwich in 1586.
James VI of Scotland became James I of England on death of Elizabeth in 1603.
