MUSIC of the kind which entertained William Morris and his guests will fill his Bexleyheath home again this weekend.

As part of the Museums at Night initiative, Morris’s Red House home in Red House Lane, Bexleyheath, will open its doors on Saturday night (May 14)for a musical evening.

Hautbois, a duo who specialise in period music, will entertain an audience in the house’s drawing room with Popular Music of the Olden Time by William Chappell.

It was music Morris and his wife Jane played and used to entertain their guests such as Dante Gabriel Rosetti.

The hour-long event will include a short tour of the house, and will run every hour from 5.30pm to 9.30pm.
