A YOUNG man has been taken on by a miller and falls in love with his daughter, but she doesn’t feel the same way.
Pianist Simon Lane will be joined by baritone Jonathan Sells to perform Schubert’s The Miller’s Beautiful Daughter – Die Schone Mullerin – in the grand surroundings of Bromley Parish Church on Friday, May 24.
Tickets cost £15, £12 for concessions, £10 for students and are free for under 18s. A pre-show talk with a free glass of wine begins at 6.30pm, an exhibition of Bromley Art Society’s related paintings at 7pm and the concert at 7.30pm.
Following the show, Connexions will serve platters of cheese, charcuterie, smoked fish and wine or soft drinks and there will be a chance to meet the performers.
