With live taxidermy demonstrations, a stuffed animal photo booth and conversation with Sandi Toksvig, the Horniman Museum is set to host a book launch with a difference.

Best-selling author Kate Mosse will unveil her latest novel The Taxidermist’s Daughter at the Forest Hill attraction on Thursday, September 11, with an evening of taxidermy, talks, demonstrations, special guests and music.

The writer will discuss the book with broadcaster Toksvig, while there will also be demonstrations, a Carnival of Curious Animals and a taxidermy photo booth.

Signed editions will be available to buy at the event run by Orion Publishing and Dulwich Books.

The Horniman’s director Janet Vitmayer said: “We’re delighted that Kate Mosse has chosen to launch The Taxidermist’s Daughter at the Horniman.

“We’re planning a night to remember for Kate, her readers, and fans of taxidermy.”
