As you would expect from someone whose naked selfie is swirling around the depths of the internet, James Argent doesn’t feel the need to hide anything.

Which is why his tell-all book Living it Arg is a must-read for any The Only Way is Essex fan.

Revelations include a liaison with TOWIE alumni Amy Childs in a loo, while he was supposedly in a committed relationship with cast mate Lydia Bright.

The 26-year-old, better known simply as Arg, said he hasn’t held anything back.

He said: “I would like to think there isn’t anything missing. I have been very honest. It’s all out there.

“I was concerned about the Amy thing, seeing how people would react and how Lydia would feel.

“At the same time, it’s off my chest now.”

Also now out in the open is a naked picture he took of himself, which somehow found its way onto the internet. In the latest series, we saw Arg’s mum being shown the picture.

Typically, it is water off a duck’s back for the Essex boy,

Arg said: “It was obviously a bit cheeky. It was taken over a year and a half ago.

“I’ve been bantered, it’s got out there. It could have been worse.

“It was horrible my mum seeing it, but it’s one of those things. It’s funny.

“I suppose she’s seen it all before.”

Though he’s still young, there should be plenty packed into the book from the only man to have been ever-present on the series.

He said: “I do feel like the last man standing. I’m the only original male on left, which I’m proud of.

“I like to think I’m the Ian Beale of TOWIE.”

Arg remains close with cast members old and new and still closest with Mark Wright.

He said: “Mark’s still my best friend. He’s coming to my book launch and he’s going to try to come to one of the signings.”

That could be good news for north Kent TOWIE fans, as the Arg book tour stops at Waterstone’s in Bluewater from 5.30pm on Wednesday (April 16).

Arg said: “I can’t wait to meet the people at Bluewater. I often come to Bluewater to do my shopping, especially with Mark.

“I love the people down there, I always get a good reaction even when I’m shopping. To come there to do a book signing, somewhere I’ve been going shopping for years, is a really cool feeling.

“I still make an effort to come to Bluewater because I love it so much.

“At the same time, it can be tricky getting round. But I’m a people pleaser, I don’t mind stopping for photos and stuff like that. I enjoy it.

“That’s why I do TOWIE.”

James Argent will be at Waterstone’s in Bluewater from 5.30pm on Wednesday (April 16) signing copies of his new book Living it Arg (Simon and Schuster, £12.99).
