When the announcement Leonard Cohen would be calling in at Greenwich’s O2 arena in the UK leg of his world tour dropped into the Leisure inbox, it triggered two conflicting thoughts.
Firstly, I thought ace news. I love Leonard Cohen and will snatch the chance to see him live. It may be my only opportunity; he hasn’t toured in 15 years.

So I heard on the grape vine – well Chris Moyles on his breakfast show – that Noel Fielding and Julian Barratt are in the process of writing a feature-length version of the Mighty Boosh.
THE Oscars may all be over now but that’s not going to stop us harping on about the night’s events long after the world’s most famous carpet is rolled up.
Yes it’s overly-long (I feared my Sky+ may explode under the five-hour strain), there were few show stopping-frocks and far too many safe little black dresses and Kate Thornton was painfully underprepared for her red carpet coverage, but it doesn’t stop the Oscars being one of the most exciting events in the entertainment calendar.
