SOFIA Coppola's Somewhere will make its UK premiere at the BFI London Film Festival, it has been announced.
The Lost In Translation director's story of a Hollywood star’s existential anxiety was the winner of this year’s Venice Film Festival Golden Lion award and is a late addition to the festival programme.
Screening on October 27, the film stars Stephen Dorff as a jaded actor holed up in LA’s Chateau Marmont recovering from a minor injury.
He fills his time with pole dancers, pills and partying, but is unable to shake his detachment and boredom.
When his ex-wife heads out of town on a trip, she leaves their 11-year-old daughter Cleo (Elle Fanning) in his care, with Johnny taking her with him to Rome to promote his latest movie.
Somewhere at the 54th BFI London Film Festival. October 27. 7pm. For tickets, call 020 7928 3232 or visit bfi.org.uk/lff
