THE Hayes Players are in final rehearsals for their first ever full length musical, Little Shop of Horrors.
The musical by Alan Menken and Howard Ashman, tells the story of nerdy flower shop assistant Seymour who becomes an overnight sensation when he discovers an exotic plant with a mysterious craving for fresh blood.
Soon the Audrey II grows into an ill-tempered carnivore offering him fame and fortune in exchange for feeding its growing appetite.
But as Audrey II’s hungry demands increase, all that Seymour holds dear is threatened and the plant’s sinister agenda for global domination is revealed.
The Players' production will be performed at the Hayes Village Hall from December 2 to 5.
