A PACKED line up of top acts and up-and-coming talent is promised at the 25th Lewisham People’s Day. All genres of music get a look-in with everything from gospel, classical, indie, reggae, soul, breakbeat, ska, dub and even a junk percussion duo to entertain the crowds.
The James Taylor Quartet will play rare groove and jazz funk and The Dualers will offer their blend of ska, soul and reggae.
Also on the bill is People’s Day veteran Harare Dread, whose hot and heavy rhythms have been part of the festival since 1985.
There will also be street theatre, cinema, dance and cabaret across eight stages.
Festivalgoers are being invited to wear fancy dress ranging from an 80s outfit, a Lewisham landmark or something to reflect the silver jubilee.
Lewisham People’s Day, Mountsfield Park, Brownhill Road, Catford. July 11.
