Ask most property experts on the best way of selling your home quickly and they are likely to say make sure it looks clean and tidy inside and out.

Now help is at hand for all those hoarders who know they really should get to grips and tidy up with a new scheme which makes de-cluttering easy. Clifton & Co, which covers north Kent and south east London, has joined forces with removal company Doree Bonner International to offer a free ‘de-cluttering’ service.

“De-cluttering your home can make rooms feel bigger, cleaner and fresher,” said a spokesman for the agents.

Under the scheme, an agent from Clifton & Co, will visit a client’s home and offer advice on how to show off rooms to best effect – and what personal items might need to go.

The de-clutter service includes free collection, free delivery and free storage for a specified period.

Each client will be able to store selected belongings in a container 8ft by 7ft by 5ft in size.

Clifton Button, managing director of Clifton & Co said: “Having worked locally with Doree Bonner International, we suggested this service could work nationally for other members of The Guild of Professional Estate Agents. “The de-cluttering service is a unique offering to our clients and is free to them when using us for either selling or letting.”
