Country homes top wish lists
COUNTRY homes have emerged as the most popular dwelling in which people would like to live following a survey published last week.
A wish-list of dream homes compiled by the insurance firm Legal and General found a fifth of respondents expressed the desire to live in a country character house if they had the choice.
The Home Sweet Home survey showed 25 per cent would like to live in a village, compared to just 8 per cent earlier last year.
Sixteen per cent were happy to live in the suburbs and 9 per cent opted for a city lifestyle.
Only 15 per cent of people live in a home which matches up to their idea of a dream home.
