BEXLEY’S first Forest pre-school has just opened in Bexleyheath.
Called Enchanted Wood, the pre-school is based in the Scout headquarters in Bean Road and follows the principles of the Forest school movement developed in Scandinavia.
This enables children to do a lot of their learning outdoors.
The pre-school has already carried out a lot of refurbishment at the site which is set in an acre of garden and woodland.
Its outdoor space will provide lots of opportunities for the children to learn about the environment and wildlife in all weathers, through play.
Forest schools are also known to help children with their personal and social development as well as language and literacy.
