RECYCLING: Rapping robot reinforces the "three Rs"

RECYCLER, the rapping robot, has been touring schools across Bexley to present the recyclingmessage to children in his own individual style.

His interactive show, including a rap, tells pupils and teachers all about the three Rs - reduce, reuse and recycle.

The robot demonstrates to children how they can reduce their waste, how they can recycle locally, and put the three Rs into practice at home and school.

Shirley Barre, a Bexley Council education officer said: "Every household in the UK throws away more than one tonne ofwaste each year and more than half of this could be recycled.”

She added: “ A visit from Recycler is a great way for young people to learn about how important it is to reduce waste and to recycle as much as possible.

“Joining in with Recycler’s rap and watching the games, props and role-plays is a great way to remember important messages and take them home.”
