A YOUNG girl hopes to reduce waste after designing recycling bins which look like parcels.
Millie Goslyn-Jones, 11, came up with the design at school after being asked to find ways to make recycling bins interesting.
The pupil at John Stainer Primary School, St Asaph Road, Brockley, said: "It's really exciting to see my design on the bins.
"I walk past them every day to go to school.
"All my friends think it's really cool and make the bins look much smarter than before."
The bins are addressed to the recycling facility with stamps showing they can be used to recycle paper, cardboard, glass, tin and plastic bottles.
Design company Artmongers used Millie's design drawing to create the bins which were launched on July 2 by Lewisham Council at Brockley Cross, Brockley.
The council has credited its Moo Cross bins in New Cross, designed to look like cows, with an increase in recycling in the area.
