Competition gets just one London entry
JUST one school in London took part in a national energy conservation campaign's competition.
Energy conservation specialists TAC UK Ltd launched a nationwide campaign, Energy Impact 2050, to help children understand climate change.
It asked youngsters to design a poster to encourage their peers to think about what will happen to their environment in 2050 if they do not start conserving energy.
Elmwood Junior School in
Croydon was the only school within the M25 which took part.
TAC UK marketing director Richard Strode said: "We feel young people are the key to making a
difference in the future.
"We have had a great response from schools throughout the
country and are really surprised only one school from the London area agreed to take part."
The competition closed on July 1.
