Chance to get closer to wildlife
A DEMONSTRATION on how birds are measured and ringed is one of the activities planned for a Royal Park's Wildlife Open Day.
Greenwich Park is hosting the annual event, which will feature bird and tree walks, wildlife-themed puppet shows for
youngsters and a craft area for making masks, mobiles and bird and butterfly feeders.
Organised by the Friends of Greenwich Park, it gives
visitors the chance to find out more about its birds, foxes, deer and trees.
They may also get to glimpse a couple of the foxes which live in the woodland by the Secret
Garden Wildlife Centre and are often seen in daylight.
The open day is being held on Saturday from 11am to 4pm.
All activities at the Royal Park's Wildlife Open Day are free.
