A DRIVER of one of the borough's waste collection vehicles has won a top award.
Stuart Borowick works for Bromley Council's waste and recycling contractor Veolia Environmental Services.
He won the Train to Gain vocational training
category at this year's National Employer Service Learners First Awards.
The award was presented to Mr Borowick, 31, from West Wickham, by former athlete Colin Jackson at a ceremony at Alton Towers in
recognition of him achieving an NVQ Level 2 in waste management.
Mr Borowick is also helping train colleagues after becoming a driving skills instructor.
He said: "I'm extremely proud to receive such a recognised award and I hope to gain more qualifications. It was a day I will always remember."
