Teddies get real to help environment
NAPPY-WEARING teddy bears were brought to a coffee morning to promote the use of reusable nappies.
The Teddy Bear's Picnic Nappucino was hosted by the Real Nappies for London campaign at Ladywell's Children's Centre, in Rushey Mead, on April 22, from 10am to noon.
It featured discussions on the benefits of reusable nappies and was part of Real Nappy Week, which ran from April 21 to April 27.
Real Nappy Week, organised by national group the Real Nappy Campaign, aimed to promote the environmental benefits of using reusable nappies.
According to charity Women's Environmental Network, nearly three billion nappies are thrown away in the UK every year and disposal methods have a major environmental impact.
