Cast assembled for Gravesend panto

PREPARATIONS are underway for this year’s pantomime at The Woodville in Gravesend.

Imagine Theatre has started assembling its cast for Jack and the Beanstalk, which will run from Friday, December 14 until Monday, December 31.

Mike James returns from last year’s Sleeping Beauty to will play Simple Simon.

He said: "I had a brilliant time in Gravesend last year and can’t wait to be back for more panto fun this year.”

Imagine veteran Kraig Thornber will again pull on a dress to play Dame Trot, while Maya Grant and Richard Morse will make their debuts for the company.

The Giant and the King will be played by Dean Burne and Niki Smith will be the fairy.

Managing director of Imagine, Steve Boden said: “We are really pleased at how the cast are coming together.

"Mike James was really popular with the Gravesend audiences last year and so it is brilliant that he is back on board for a second year.

"It is also great to have Kraig playing Dame Trot – we have worked with Kraig quite a few times in the past and he is an absolutely brilliant Dame and I believe he will go down a storm at The Woodville.”
