Schools invited to flip for glory in Pancake Day competition at Westfield Stratford City
12:26pm Friday 17th February 2012 in Out & About
Flipping schoolchildren and teachers are being invited to take part in a potentially messy pancake tossing contest.
Westfield Stratford City is hosting the competition on Shrove Tuesday, February 21, courtesy of pancake connoisseurs Crêpeaffaire.
Between 2 and 5pm students and teachers from local schools are welcome to get involved in a series of pancake flipping competitions, posing the best young flippers against each other.
Winners will receive free pancakes for a year, second place runners-up will win free pancakes for six months and third place runners-up will receive free pancakes for three months.
Additionally, one-on-one pancake duels will take place and the winner will receive a complimentary Crêpeaffaire signature dish, the Mellow Yellow and all entrants will receive a juicy 15% off their choice of crêpe.
Crêpeaffaire’s very own mascot - ‘Crêpe Man’ - will be making a special appearance on The Street to judge the pancake flippers of the future.
Crayons and a colouring-in menu will also be on offer to keep all mini pancake athletes entertained.
