Beloved songs from Disney’s animated classics are being performed by a West End star when she finishes her solo tour in Greenwich.

Helena Blackman, finalist of the BBC’s How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria?, is set to whisk people to A Whole New World with her magical show Journey to the Past.

From music featured in Cinderella to The Little Mermaid and Pocahontas, Helena will take her audience on a nostalgic ride through a wealth of timeless songs.

She said: “I’m truly delighted to do my first tour as a solo artist and sing songs that I have loved all my life that I know so many other people love too.

“I have such fond memories of all of these films, and can’t wait to bring the tour to a close and share these wonderful songs with everyone in Greenwich.”

Other animated movies including The Land Before Time, Thumbelina and Anastasia are also celebrated in Helena’s show at Greenwich Theatre on Thursday March 22.

The performance begins at 7.30pm and tickets are priced at £15 or £10 for concessions.
