Sundance Film Festival, the premier showcase for independent film, is making the trip across the pond for the first time ever.
Held every January in Utah, the legendary event will be making its mark on the UK when it comes to The O2 in April.
Kicking off Sundance London, Robert Redford and 12-time Grammy Award winner T Bone Burnett will participate in an onstage discussion about the relationship between film and music, followed by an exclusive performance by T-Bone and other special guests to be announced.
Robert Redford said: "We are excited to partner with AEG Europe to bring a particular slice of American culture to life in the inspired setting of The O2, and in this city of such rich cultural history.
"It is our mutual goal to bring to the UK the very best in current American independent cinema, to introduce the artists responsible for it, and in essence help build a picture of our country that is broadly reflective of the diversity of voices not always seen in our cultural exports."
The four-day film and music festival, now in its 34th year, will include screenings, live performances and exclusive panel discussions at the Greenwich venue.
A selection of films from the 2012 Sundance Film Festival line-up will make their UK premieres at the London as well as daily live music events.
The famous event will be making its British premier between April 26 and 29.
The full programme will be announced soon.
