10:15am Tuesday 7th October 2008
THROUGHOUT October Bexley, Sidcup and Welling Libraries will be running Family Learning Month.
All ages will be catered for, even newborn babies. Baby Sensory, which encourages early development through a range of activities which stimulate the senses, will be doing taster sessions on each Monday at 10.30am.
These sessions are aimed at newborn to around 15 months and will introduce the babies (and their carers) to some amazing experiences, including fantastic light shows, enormous bouncing balls, parachute activity, mini balls that light up when bounced, silks, furs and incredible animal puppet shows. Throughout the 40 sessions held during a year, no two activities are repeated and each session has a special grand finale which adults as well as children look forward to.
Earlier this year, Baby Sensory won the Whatson4littleones' Best Baby Development Class national award, sponsored by Organix. Leading child psychologists claim children who get plenty of intellectual stimulation during their first year of life are less likely to have serious behavioural problems later on in life.
