IN what is believed to be a first for the area, a nursery will be taking children overnight for busy parents on late shifts.
It will see Catford’s Bay Tree House Nursery opening from 7pm until 7am, with 25 spaces available for children.
Janet Hogman from the nursery said: “We’re hoping to appeal essentially to those parents working unsocial hours but are also aiming to offer overnight care for parents needing occasional or respite care.
“We feel there’s a very real need for this type of care in the area, particularly for single parents and people living some distance from extended family.”
The new Ofsted-registered service launches with an open evening on February 13 from 7.30pm to 9.30pm.
Nursery staff and managers will be on hand to give tours of the facility.
