A BECKENHAM man has left his fiancee and two children after falling for pop star Anastacia.
Wayne Newton, of Kent House Road, went from being the singer's bodyguard to boyfriend during her European tour.
A source told a national newspaper: "It's just like the movie The Bodyguard, where Whitney Houston falls in love with her minder.
"The chemistry between them was obvious.
"Anastacia has lavished gifts on him, including a Cartier watch."
Mr Newton's partner, Lorraine Elston, is said to be "devastated" by the split.
A spokesman for Anastacia, whose hits include I'm Outta Love and Left Outside Alone, said: "Anastacia makes a point of never discussing her private life or relationships."
