Body believed to be missing clubber

A BODY which was found in the River Medway today (March 18) is believed to be missing Mottingham clubber Christopher Lawless.
Police officers were called to Cuxton Marina, near Rochester, at around 11am after receiving reports of sightings.
The corpse has yet to be formally identified but officers believe it is Mr Lawless.
He was expected to return to his home in Blanchard Close, Mottingham, on February 23 after leaving Amadeus nightclub, Strood.
But he has not been seen or heard from since leaving the venue and was reported missing at 2.40am that morning.
An extensive search involving police dogs and a helicopter were used to look for the 24-year-old and an incident room was set up at Medway police station.
A post-mortem examination will take place on March 20.
His death is not being treated as suspicious.

Obvioulsy this is upsetting but I think we need to make sure it is chris before we start leaving RIP messages which could cause his friends and family destress - here's hoping its not him! My thoughts are with the mans fasmily who has been found

its just a 'stab-in-the-dark' but if a person falls into a river when its freezing cold and they may have been drinking,they will struggle to survive. Then its really hard for people to find them if the current is strong and carries them away. I'm sure they tried they're best at the time with the information they had of his route.

This is such a sad ending to such a young life,I knew chris well and he was always up for a laugh,kind and honest(most the time,bless him),but he loved his children very much,to which they loved him very much too,his son kie is hartbroken,paige a little to young to understand will grow to know and learn this tragic story regarding her father.my thoughts are with them.Also my love and thoughts out to his mum,dad,sister and brother also my mate stara who motherd his children and who chris spent most of his life with and was also the reason how i was lucky enough to meet chris and have chris as a mate.
