Avante Care & Support is a registered charity formed on December 4, 1990, providing residential care and support for older people living with dementia, a home care and support service for those living in their own home and Stepahead Support, a service for young people and families.
It has 12 care homes and care and support services across Kent and south-east London.
The charity employs 1,600 people delivering services to over 1,000 individuals on a daily basis.
To ensure everyone was involved with celebrating Avante Care & Support’s milestone birthday the care homes and services all hosted celebratory parties, inviting all residents, family members and staff to join and raise a glass.
Managing director Mark Lloyd said: “We are all extremely proud to be celebrating our 25th birthday especially as this is at a time where a greater proportion of us are reaching retirement age and living longer, often with dementias, placing a greater strain on health and social care services.
“Our value to the local communities we serve can be judged by the demand for our services. So, in celebrating our achievements we also look back at some of the milestones in our charity’s history which has seen Avante care for and support probably more than 50,000 people over the past 25 years.”
