Queen sends best wishes to Knights of Fire for Coney Hall jubilee fireworks show

A FIREWORKS company is set to put on a royally good event in the queen’s honour after getting a letter from her majesty.
Knights of Fire has been appointed to stage the finale to the diamond jubilee celebrations on June 3 at the Coney Hall recreation ground.
After hearing about the display Queen Elizabeth II sent a letter to the Beckenham based company expressing her best wishes to the team for a successful display on the night.
Co-director Chris Hinze said: “A royal diamond jubilee is a once in a life-time experience and to have royal support is fantastic.
The 44-year-old added: "Bromley has some truly fantastic venues for fireworks displays and as the only company in the area we can afford to invest more in the fireworks than those who have to travel here from much further afield."
Mr Hinze first thought about working with fireworks around 15 years ago when watching displays at Crystal Palace Park.
He and his fellow co-director Nick Chase have been working together for several years and decided to launch Knights of Fire as a professional company earlier this year.
Mr Chase, 41, said: "We have been fireworks enthusiasts for years and have fired professional displays for a number of other companies.
“With 2012 being a great year of celebration we felt now was the time to launch out under our own steam." said co-director Nick Chase.
Both directors have been professionally trained and hold industry-recognised fireworks qualifications.
"We take the safety aspects as seriously as the entertainment whilst providing value for money," added Mr Chase.
The two are supported by three other residents who have worked together for a number of years putting on displays in the area.
Together, the team members have for many years put on the annual PTA bonfire night at St David's College in West Wickham as well as other displays for weddings, end of term school parties and other events.
In 2010 they won a UK fireworks display competition to put on the best display using fireworks available to the general public with a budget of £650.
